The Episcopal Urban Intern Program is part of the Catholic Network of Volunteer Service/AmeriCorps Education Awards Program (CNVS/AEAP), which is funded by the Corporation for National Service. CNVS/AEAP is a network of faith-based programs that serve people in the areas of public safety, basic human needs, education, and the environment, with a special emphasis on working with youth and the poor.

AmeriCorps Education Awards are given to AmeriCorps Members who successfully complete a required term of service for the program in which they are participating. An education award can be used in the following ways

1. To repay qualified, existing, or future student loans.
2. To pay all or part of the cost of attending a qualified institution of higher education (including certain vocational programs).
3. To pay expenses incurred while participating in an approved school-to-work program.

CNVS/AEAP members typically earn an education award of $4,725 after successfully completing 1700 service hours.

An intern's participation in EUIP does not guarantee that an intern will qualify for AmeriCorps benefits.
